Retail management software: StoreCore, the digital core of retail
StoreCore is the platform for retailers with stock, built by KERN-IT. Point of sale, stock across all your stores, purchasing, trade customers, rental, workshop and online sales live in a single tool. Each item is tracked the way it deserves: by quantity for screws and cement, by batch for tinted paint, by piece for the rental drill or the one-off watch. You know at any moment what you have, where, who owns it and what it earns.
It is one of our business platforms: complete software, designed, hosted and maintained by our team in Brussels, and fitted to your business rather than the other way round. DIY and building materials, watches and jewellery, bikes, home appliances or second-hand: StoreCore switches on the modules your trade needs.
StoreCore comes with an AI assistant: it suggests replenishment and transfers between stores, sums up a customer's history at the counter, writes product sheets and answers your questions about stock and margins. It prepares, your team approves.

A retailer's daily life, between the till and the back room
Stock that never matches the shelf
You reorder what you already have and miss sales on what you think you have. The annual count fixes the figures once a year, and the gap opens again the next day.
Stores calling each other
“Do you still have plasterboard in Gembloux?” Transfers leave by van without a trace, and each store's stock becomes a guess.
Supplier price lists retyped by hand
Every new list is keyed in again, labels are reprinted, and three weeks later the shelf price turns out not to match the till.
Trade customers handled like walk-ins
Negotiated prices, credit limits, signed delivery notes, a monthly invoice: it all happens next to the till, in a spreadsheet or the accounting software.
Services living in a notebook
The sander rental, the watch repair, the timber cutting, the site delivery: each has its own book, and none of it shows in the figures.
Valuable pieces to track one by one
Serial number, papers, owner, boutique, safe, workshop: for a unique or consigned piece, a stock line is not enough.
One item, three ways to track it
By quantity
Screws by the kilo, timber by the metre, cement by the bag or the pallet, bracelets and batteries. A quantity per location, with different sales and purchase units.
By batch
Tinted paint, adhesive with its date, a limited series. Each batch keeps its date, formula and origin.
By piece
The watch, the ring, the rental drill, the bike, the pre-owned piece. Each one has its number, photos, papers, owner and full history.
One store mixes all three. A hardware store rents out machines tracked by piece, a jeweller sells bracelets by quantity. The till, transfers, stock counts and margins work the same way for all of them.
The whole business, from supplier order to till receipt
Sell
Till on a fixed station or tablet, even offline, mixed payments, multi-step sales with deposits, trade customers with their prices and a grouped Peppol invoice, online sales on the same stock.
Stock
Stock per store and per location, suggested and traced transfers, stock counts by scan, unique pieces and consignment, stock value in real time.
Buy
Supplier price lists imported with their effect on margin, suggested replenishment, purchase orders, partial receipts, matched Peppol supplier invoices.
Serve and steer
Rental, workshop and repairs, cutting, tinting and delivery; one customer record; margins by item, store and salesperson; roles and approvals per store.
And everything that keeps the store running
A till that keeps going
If the internet drops, the till keeps taking payments and syncs as soon as the connection is back. Linked payment terminals, cash drawer and receipt printer.
Peppol e-invoicing
Invoices to business customers sent via Peppol, supplier invoices received the same way and matched to their order.
In French and Dutch
The platform, labels, receipts and customer space in each person's language, plus English for international customers.
Ready for till obligations
Cash book, daily closings and action log. StoreCore follows Belgian rules on cash register systems and adapts as they change.
Your accounting stays in place
Sales, purchases and tills export to your accountant or software (Odoo, WinBooks, Exact or another). StoreCore prepares, accounting stays where it is.
Set up for your trade
DIY, building materials, watches, jewellery, bikes, home appliances, second-hand: the platform keeps the modules you need and leaves the rest aside.
A look at the platform
A week with StoreCore looks like this. On Monday, the dashboard suggests moving plasterboard from Ciney to Namur before it runs out. A supplier's new price list arrives: its effect on margin shows before you accept it, and the labels to change go to print. A contractor picks up an order at their trade price; the delivery note is signed on the tablet. On Friday, the monthly invoice goes out via Peppol and the rented sander comes back with its condition recorded. The screens show two businesses: a hardware store with three branches and a watchmaker-jeweller with three boutiques, on the same platform.

On the shop floor, in the back room and with the customer
The store app. The sales assistant scans an item on the shelf and sees its stock in every store. The storekeeper receives a delivery and records variances. The driver has the note signed on site.

The trade customer space. The contractor sees their prices, orders for collection or delivery, books a machine and downloads delivery notes and invoices.
AI prepares, your team approves
In a store, every hour spent in the office is an hour less on the shop floor. StoreCore's AI assistant takes care of the repetitive calculations and leaves every decision to the team.
Replenishment and transfers suggested
From sales, seasons and each store's stock, it suggests what to order and what to move. The buyer adjusts and approves.
The customer summed up at the counter
Past purchases, warranties, wish list, open workshop job: the salesperson has the essentials in three lines before saying hello.
Product sheets written
Descriptions, specifications and translations into Dutch and English, from supplier data, for the website and labels.
Variances spotted early
An odd margin, a recurring count variance, a shelf price that differs from the till: the alert comes before it costs.
Safeguards: the assistant works read only and cites each source. It places no order without approval and takes no decision. Your data stays hosted in Europe and is never used to train a model.

What everyone gains
Management
Each store's sales and margins day by day, the stock value and what sits idle in the back room.
Sales staff
The whole network's stock and the customer's history at the counter. No sale lost for lack of information.
Store and purchasing
Suggested replenishment, receipts by scan, cycle counts. Fewer stock-outs, less overstock.
Accounting
Tills closed, Peppol invoices, matched purchases and exports ready. Less retyping, fewer errors.
Who is it for?
DIY and building materials
Hardware stores, DIY, paint, tiles, building materials: thousands of items, trade customers, in-store services.
Watches and jewellery
Unique and numbered pieces, consignment, workshop, international customers and customer identification.
Equipment and leisure
Bikes, home appliances, sport, instruments: serial numbers, warranties, workshop, rental and delivery.
Second-hand and consignment
Each unique piece with its consignor, its successive prices and the payout on sale.
What you are comparing
Online POS systems
Quick to set up and great at taking payments, but the business stops at the till: trade accounts, unique pieces, consignment, rental and transfers stay on the side.
General-purpose ERPs
They cover a lot, at the cost of long configuration, and handle unique pieces with owners and product services poorly.
Niche software and home-made files
Built for one trade fifteen years ago, they speak neither Peppol, nor mobile, nor online sales. StoreCore takes over their data and keeps your habits.
Designed and supported in Belgium by the KERN-IT team, hosted in Europe. Each access is limited to the right role: a salesperson sees their till, a manager their store, management the whole network. Discounts, returns and special payments go through an approval, and every action is logged. Your data belongs to you: exportable at any time, guaranteed reversibility, GDPR by design.
Support is local too: you talk to the people who build the platform, and your change requests feed the product roadmap directly.
Start without switching everything
A demo on your store
Bring an export from your till and a supplier price list: we show them to you in StoreCore, with stock and margin.
A pilot store
Start with one store, then open the others when the team is ready. Network stock builds up as stores come on board.
Your data migrated
Items, prices, customers, suppliers, stock and consigned pieces are imported from your current software. You do not start from a blank page.
How does it work? Made-to-measure software
Fully custom software is expensive, and standard till software forces the store to change the way it works. StoreCore sits in between: a complete base, fitted to your business.
1. A base already cut
Till, stock, purchasing, customers, rental, workshop, online sales, AI assistant: the core relies on building blocks already in production in our other platforms.
2. Fitted to your business
Your trade, item families, pricing rules, suppliers, documents and accounting: from configuration to custom-built modules.
3. Paid monthly, all included
Hosting, backups, updates and support included, with no upfront investment. The monthly fee depends on the number of stores, the amount of custom work and the pace you want, and a purchase option can be written into the contract.
