Services

BarnAI comes out of KERNLAB, KERN-IT's experimentation lab. For years, we have worked with the database of 249,000 Belgian employers (KBO/ONSS data) for our clients. BarnAI's idea: turn it into a standalone product, accessible directly to candidates and employers.

The vast majority of Belgian employers never post job listings. BarnAI connects candidates to companies in their sector and region via a multi-criteria matching engine: ISCO occupational profile, NACE sector, geography, languages. Unlike classic job boards that index published listings, BarnAI starts from the real market.

An AI assistant guides candidates in FR/NL/EN. Employers manage incoming applications with a complete workflow. The platform is currently in beta, with a progressive rollout.

      The problem

Belgium has 249,000 active employers, but the vast majority never post job listings. Candidates searching in their sector see the same large companies on classic job boards, without ever reaching the real fabric of SMEs and mid-sized companies that are open to hiring - and who would welcome a direct application.

Generalist platforms index what recruiters choose to publish. BarnAI starts from the real market: 249,000 companies, whether or not they have an active listing.

Structured matching, not a search engine

The core of BarnAI is a multi-criteria matching engine that connects the candidate's occupational profile (ISCO codes, 626 standard ILO occupations) to employer activity sectors (NACE codes, 3,276 sectors). The relevance score combines sector (50%), geography (30%) and languages (20%).

The result: every candidate sees a ranked list of relevant employers for their profile, with the ability to apply directly. Each application is tracked in real time across 13 statuses, from initial suggestion to accepted offer.

      A management tool for employers

Employers receive incoming applications in a dedicated inbox with filtering, search and integrated messaging. Multi-seat team management lets several recruiters work on the same account. Plans (Free, Pro, Enterprise) set monthly incoming application limits.

An AI assistant is available for candidates: streaming guidance, multilingual (FR/NL/EN), with persistent memory per user.
