We don't replace your ERP, we build around it

Generic ERPs reach their limits when your processes become specific. Every additional module is expensive, every customization is fragile, every upgrade becomes a risk.

KERN-IT develops business applications in Python (Flask, Django, FastAPI) that integrate with your existing ERP. We don't replace it: we build around it a system adapted to your real processes, connected to your tools, with centralized data and automated workflows.

Based in Brussels, we have been supporting SMEs and organizations for over 10 years in designing ERP and CRM systems that match their operational reality.

What a custom ERP/CRM changes for you

Inventory, HR & Documents
Centralized management of your resources: inventory, staff, contracts, documents. One tool instead of files scattered across 5 different systems.

Automated workflows
Approvals, notifications, reminders, calculations: repetitive tasks run on their own. Your teams focus on what creates value.

API & ERP integration
Two-way connection with your existing tools: Odoo, SAP, Exact, Sage, accounting, e-commerce. Data flows without re-entry.

Real-time dashboards
Live visualization of your business KPIs: revenue, sales pipeline, occupancy rates, delivery times. Decisions based on reliable data.

When a custom ERP becomes necessary

Your ERP can't keep up
You work around your ERP's limitations with Excel exports, macros and manual processing. Customization costs are skyrocketing without satisfactory results.

Your CRM is underused
Your sales team doesn't use it because it doesn't match their field reality. A custom CRM adapts to your sales cycle, not the other way around.

Your data is fragmented
Clients in the CRM, invoices in accounting, inventory in Excel, planning on paper. No unified view of your business.

Our ERP/CRM approach

1

1. Business audit
We map your current processes: data flows, tools used, pain points, workarounds. We understand your business before writing code.

2

2. Architecture & modeling
Data model definition, API integrations and technical architecture. Python, Django or FastAPI depending on constraints.

3

3. Business interface UX/UI
Prototyping of key screens: dashboards, forms, filterable lists. Validation with your users before development.

4

4. Iterative development
2-week sprints, regular demos, incremental deliveries. You use the first modules while the next ones are being built.

5

5. Integration & migration
API connection with your ERP, CRM, accounting. Migration of historical data from your current systems.

6

6. Support & evolution
Ongoing maintenance, monitoring, module additions. Your ERP evolves with your business, no vendor lock-in.

Frequently asked questions

No. Our approach is to build around your existing ERP, not replace it. We develop complementary modules that fill its gaps and connect via API. You keep your current investment.

We integrate any system with an API: Odoo, SAP, Exact Online, Sage, Salesforce, HubSpot, Teamleader, Pipedrive, and many more. If the tool exposes data, we can connect to it.

A first functional module (e.g. order management or sales dashboard) starts from €15,000. A complete ERP covering multiple departments ranges between €50,000 and €200,000. We build module by module to spread the investment.

Market solutions impose their processes. When your needs are specific, customizations cost more than custom development — and create technical debt. Python (Django, FastAPI) offers total flexibility, a rich ecosystem and proven performance.

Yes. We develop custom migration scripts to import all your historical data: clients, orders, invoices, inventory. Supported formats: ERP exports, Excel, CSV, Access, SQL.

We offer maintenance contracts including monitoring, security updates, user support and feature improvements. No annual vendor license — you own your code.
