At KERN IT, we have been supporting SMEs and large corporations for several years in developing custom digital solutions.

In parallel with our core activities, we build our own solutions, born from real-world challenges we identified in the field.

Barnai is a prime example of this approach. It is a LAB project initiated several years ago, which we have evolved progressively through continuous reflection, testing, and real-world feedback.

Today, the product is finally mature enough to be shared with a larger audience, and we are excited to open registrations for the beta version.

A recurring challenge in the job search process

The job search process often follows a similar pattern.
Candidates tend to focus on a few well-known platforms and primarily apply to high-visibility, large corporations.

After a while, a sense of stagnation sets in, often marked by a lack of feedback and zero visibility to measure the actual impact of the job search efforts.

Yet, in Belgium, the economic landscape is primarily made up of SMEs and mid-sized companies that recruit regularly but post few, if any, job ads. These firms stay off the radar for many candidates, not for a lack of opportunities, but for a lack of appropriate tools to facilitate the connection.

This is precisely the gap that Barnai is designed to bridge.

Barnai, a CRM dedicated to the job search.

Barnai is not just another job board.
The product is designed as a job search CRM, with a deliberately different approach.

The core idea is to apply the methods and tools long used in sales to the job search process: structuring efforts, tracking actions, measuring results, and adjusting the strategy based on feedback.

Barnai thus aims to transform an often overwhelming experience into one that is clear, visible, and manageable process.

Structuring and managing your job search

Barnai enables job seekers to take back control of their efforts

The platform specifically allows users to:

  • Discover companies that truly match their profile and expectations
  • Centralize all spontaneous applications in one place
  • Automate outreach and initial contact with companies
  • Track email opens and monitor incoming responses
  • Analyze results to continuously improve the strategy

The goal is not to mindlessly increase the volume of applications, but to target better, understand better, and adjust better.

Smart assistance for the modern candidate

Powered by AI, Barnai acts as a long-term companion for candidates, evolving with them every step of the way

Each day, the platform suggests a selection of relevant companies that the user can either approve or decline.

Based on these interactions, Barnai progressively refines its understanding of the profile, improves the quality of its suggestions, and adapts the messages sent to companies.

The candidate remains in control of all decisions, while Barnai handles repetitive and time-consuming tasks to free up time and energy.

The core of the product: application tracking

One of Barnai's core components is its application CRM.
All efforts are consolidated into a clear pipeline, allowing users to visualize the status of their search at any time.

Applications are organized by status, for example:

  • To contact
  • Contacted
  • Opened
  • Replied
  • In discussion
  • Rejected

This structure prevents things from falling through the cracks, makes follow-ups easier to plan, and maintains a consistent global overview.

A dedicated dashboard to measure actual progress

Barnai also features a management dashboard, designed as a true control panel.

It specifically allows you to visualize:

  • Number of active applications
  • Recently sent applications
  • Message open rate
  • Company response rate
  • Short-term actions to complete

This dashboard provides an element that is often missing from the job search: an objective measurement of actual progress.

Exporting your complete application history

Barnai allows for a full export of your application records, a feature that is particularly useful in many different contexts.

Candidates can export:

  • Their profile
  • Their CV
  • Detailed application history
  • Statuses, dates, and responses
  • Global statistics

These exports can be used for career counseling, coaching, administrative follow-ups, or simply to maintain a structured record of the process.

A tool designed for the Belgian market

Barnai was designed with the specificities of the Belgian market in mind.

Belgium has a rich economic fabric, primarily composed of SMEs and medium-sized companies.

These companies often recruit through spontaneous applications, networking, or word-of-mouth, bypassing traditional job boards altogether.

Barnai aims to build a simpler, more structured bridge between these companies and the candidates who truly match their needs.

A mindful approach to spontaneous applications

Barnai is not intended to automate mass, impersonal applications.

Each application is:

  • Targeted
  • Validated by the user
  • Adapted to the company's context

The goal is to improve the quality of interactions and the relevance of applications, while showing respect for the companies contacted

Barnai: the frog that helps you bounce back

Barnai is also represented by a mascot: a frog.
This choice symbolizes the idea of bouncing back, adaptation, and step-by-step progression.

The frog is capable of leaving the water, moving forward in leaps, and adapting to its environment.

This metaphor illustrates Barnai’s ambition: to help candidates break free from a stagnant situation and move forward progressively, with method.
